    Stage 1 - Heavy duty organic. This clutch was designed to be much more durable than stock, while retaining stock driveability. It is extremely easy to drive (very close to stock feel). The disc has approximately 50% more friction material than stock. There is virtually no chatter at all. It is perfect for any modded car that sees spirited driving on a regular basis. Rated at 500HP holding capacity. However, this clutch is not designed to consistently handle hard launches (for example, a 5000RPM clutch dump at the track). Of course if you plan to flog your car at the track, the Stage 2 or 3 will suit your needs much better.

  • Stage 3 Basic Kit

    Stage 3 - Ceramic/metallic. This clutch setup was developed with focus on brute strength. It will handle hard clutch dumps, as well as lots of abuse on the street and strip. It is very streetable for what it is, but it works like an on/off switch. If you've never driven a car with a clutch like this, it will take a little getting used to. As far as chatter goes, you will see zero to maybe 2 on a scale of 0-10. If you do get some chatter, it tends to get better as you put more miles on the clutch, during the 500-mile break-in period. Rated at 700HP

About Us

Diamond Clutch Company was established in 2006. However, there was a lot of ground work that led up to this, as this company did not just pop up out of nowhere (like so many others seem to do). It all started with my first business, "Texas Drivetrain Performance", back in 2003. This is a drivetrain specialty shop (standard transmission, axle, and clutch). Customers were always asking, "Which clutch do you recommend?" After trying just about every clutch on the market, I realized that my options were running slim. I could not recommend ANY clutch that I tried, so there was not a good answer for my customers. There was simply nothing available that met my expectations. Some problems that I encountered were; premature failure, hard shifting at high RPMs, poor disengagement, and stiff pedal. This was especially true as the LS1/LSx cars started making more power. My goal was to find a setup that is consistently reliable, durable, and affordable. After lots of research, I was able to establish the proper means in order to build the clutch kits that I design. Several different approaches were analyzed, then testing began. I decided to take the "straight to the point" approach. I am behind 100% of the engineering, design, sales, research and development.
